nndb, the new imdb?

Notable Names Data Base (nndb) is the new drug that I’ve recently discovered that is literally “Tracking the entire world”. Although it’s been online since August 07, 2002, NNDB hasn’t been very popular until early 2006 and has remained that way ever since. According to their Wikipedia entry, NNDB is an online database of biographical details of notable people. NNDB describes itself as an “intelligence aggregator” containing links between people as well as vital statistics, job history, religion, sexual orientation and a biography (including criminal record) – also cross linked. fanboy shamboy

Monday night I decided to jump into a Nintendo DS and I happened to check out the game display at Sears. The average consumer (soccer mom, busy Bob and Joe Schmo) walking about could care less or probably they didn’t even notice but I could not resist myself. I have…I have legs.” Continue reading ‘producer, director, patriot and truth advocate Aaron Russo passes at 64 after long bout with cancer’

the devil’s egg

Looking deeper into the eyes of the people of Sierra Leon or what’s allowed by the careful editing from The Discover Times Channel’s three part series Diamond Road, I can sense the pain and exhaustion of the country’s diamond diggers. It’s amazing to see the life and road of a stone from muddled rock to a “precious” or “flawless” diamond reserved to and for elitist. Continue reading ‘the devil’s egg’

open source open office

Since the beginning of time there has always been a small groups of individuals that go against the so called “norm” and believed that just a few dedicated minds along with the help of many, could accomplish great feats for the masses. That’s what brought me to Open Office. It is just amazing what a big corporation like Microsoft can do in convincing the general public that their product is the end all be all.
