last leg and 2 states to go

I feel like an ass on the fact that I forgot my login page so I can blog on our trip to California but at this point, it’s better late than never. Today, Lisa and I conquered all of Texas in one shot. Well actually, it was from the last major town in west Louisiana to New Mexico non-stop. I’ll be honest when I say that the lone star state is brutal. There was a part in west Texas where it’s nothing but solid rock planes and natural vegetation. No businesses, no corporate America, no police. Just you, the desert road in front of you and the beautiful White Apache Mountains that never seem to end. Most people break it up in 2 days but we can’t do this shit half-ass. Right now we’re staying at a La Quinta hotel in Deming, New Mexico and in the morning (aroud 5:30am) we’ll finish off the last day of traveling with the tail end of New Mexico, southern Arizona and bring it in to Rancho Cucamonga just outside of L.A.. I’ll update this post with some pretty awesome pictures that we took along the way!

I’m outta here

Almost fifteen years ago I planned this trip but the paths in life during that time did not allow me to go on. Times now are different and as I look back to reflect on my life, I can’t help but to think about those words that will forever haunt me. “Claudio, don’t let Florida make you forget who you really are. Get out to California, get out now.” All I can say is that this person is a very well known casting director but a friend non the less. Digital, you know who I’m talking about.
