What a great birthday celebration this year. Being back in Miami after a mini stint in California makes it all too familiar with family, great new friends and an amazing new work place. After years of trying and a solid connection through an old friend, I’ve finally landed one of the coolest and most laid back jobs on South Beach. Top notch management and the easiest employees to get along with.  Show business has been virtually non existent for the entire year but it looks a little more promising in 2010.

Some very big things are planned for the new decade starting with the Canon 7D, a copy of Final Cut Studio and probably one of those 27″ iMac Quad Core i5′s for the main workstation. After many years of shooting silly videos and cutting my teeth into editing with endless mistakes, I’ll be making legitimate, film festival worthy short films. All by myself if I have to but what I do know is that it’s about time. The 14 months alone in California has been eye opening and extremely educational by getting lost in classic films, self exploration, learning dialogue pace and character development by watching every single episode of Alias, Lost, Heroes and Fringe on a 140″ projected screen. Plenty of gaming and countless hours of listening to original soundtracks and film composers. Honestly, I couldn’t tell you what’s on the radio.

All in all I would say that even though I’m back in South Florida, California and I have a score to settle. I look forward to moving back to my beloved City of Angles but this time with my Lisa by my side. When will that happen? I don’t know and only time will tell but maybe in three years or as soon as the entire state of California gets their shit together. Happy new year to all.
