Today, 2K released a 10 minute gameplay trailer on Xbox Live and other channels. The exclusive footage debuted during the 2010 Tokyo Game Show and then leaked today by Irrational Games on Xbox Live. Even though they say it’s actual gameplay footage, it seems a little too scripted for it to be live unless it’s more of an introduction walkthrough like at the beginning of the first Bioshock. It could also be a major shift with the Unreal Engine as the upcoming Gears of Wars 3 boasts an array of incredible new technology that Unreal brings. Stay tuned for more info but honestly, I don’t think many of us can wait until a 2012 release. Can you just imagine how much more advanced the gameplay will be a year from now?
After all these years, the gaming gods have granted me the right to defend my so called childhood fantasy when I used to go around school telling my schoolmates that I saw Donkey Kong in the PE locker rooms. Fast forward some 20+ years and technology has finally caught up to my end of the story. All joking aside, a kid visiting the San Francisco Zoo accidentally dropped his DSi XL inside of the gorilla’s crib site and the rest is history. Check out Gameradar‘s article on the account.
Well, so far so good. I can only imagine how insane the puzzle gameplay will pan out when compared to the solo campaign. Below is a 9 minute demo from PAX which is going on right now over the weekend in Seattle. Even though it’s in HD, keep in mind that it’s still a cam source so don’t bash the quality. Valve is killing it and the’re killing me with a February 2011 release so I hope that there are no delays. Now the real question comes down to which console should Portal 2 be played on especially since Gabe Newell took to the stage at this year’s E3 and declared that Portal 2 on the PS3 will be the best version on any console. What does that mean? No love for the 360?
